From Larry on Blake and Miranda's nuptials

West Coasters --

First of all, a hearty THANK YOU for delivering Miranda a big fat #1 record on her wedding day.

Many of you have asked about details and here's what I'm allowed to give you:

US Weekly has the exclusive on the wedding with the cover article and feature available this Wednesday (5/18). US Music Editor Ian Drew will be making appearances on The Today Show and Access Hollywood talking about their coverage. They have exclusivity for 2 weeks and then on June 2, ML/BS will be the cover of People Country Issue.

Among the 550 guests in attendance on Saturday:  Cee Lo Green, Reba (and husband, Narvel Blackstock), Kelly Clarkson, Martina McBride and husband, John (she performed "Stand By Your Man" at the reception), Dierks Bentley (and wife, Cassidy), Lady Antebellum, The Bellamy Brothers (who sang "Redneck Girl"), Brandi Carlisle, Josh Kelley and wife Katherine Heigl, Chris Young, Joe Nichols (and his wife), Laura Bell Bundy, Trace Adkins and Kellie Pickler.

Neal McCoy, a personal friend of Blake and Miranda, was the house band for the reception.

Miranda wore her mom's wedding dress (from nearly 33 years prior). Blake wore jeans (as did most of the male guests).  Women were mostly in sundresses and boots.

Food stations were set up around the reception area and open until the wee hours.  The menu included quail, venison - harvested by Miranda herself - which tasted like chicken fried steak to me, as well as wild boar/venison quesadillas (which were damn tasty).

Again-- thanks again for making Heart Like Mine this week's #1 song!
